I saw the face of god today

I simply could not look away

It came in waves 

From your shining eyes

Ancient wisdom

Sweet surprise 

It’s something that cannot be said

But the heart sings here I am again

You watched yourself see me see you

We held and swirled in endless loop

And touched in glittering water’s flow

What cannot be spoken, only known

In face of this

And with god’s wit

I heard your voice say holy shit

And then we laughed 

And then we cried

Vibrations rose from deep inside

Suspended in this bowl of light

All is perfect, all is right

This moment I return to when

I’m bound in human form again

I savor it, this living proof

Of everything I ever knew 

And when my body may not go

I let imagined forests grow

I sit with you and breathe the trees

Become the trees and breathe in me

With every breath remembering

That I am love, and I am free
