When I was a small child, my mom’s nickname for me was Elf Queen. During that first period of my life (when I wasn’t voraciously reading) I was constantly creating and inventing characters and worlds, whether by drawing, writing, or becoming them. As young as five or six years old, after writing my first-ever story (a page-long epic tale of knights and princesses with admittedly some glaring plot-holes) I announced “I want to be a writer.”
I still remember that moment. It was the first dream I ever had and a natural path for a budding world-builder. Life intervened, as it does, and for a time I lost sight of that dream and the child who brought it to the world. This page is a way of honoring and connecting with her, as well as reminding anyone who might read my writing of these deep truths:
dreams are meant to come true
anything is possible
and magic is real when we create it

My Dear Amy ; As always, when I find myself in a painful, lonely place, I need only to return to this site and read your poems and short stories. My favorite will always be, “Healing The Earth”. So often, just to read your thoughts creates a Magical Peace inside of me that I can’t find anywhere else. Thank You for all that you share 🙂
